The move-in process for long term care can vary depending on where you live. Move-in process
In order to be accepted into long term care, you'll need a referral from an agency in the province where Revera operates. Agencies will lay out your available choices based on your care needs, help arrange for the move to a long term care home, and evaluate your eligibility for government-funded services and support.

Types of rooms
Revera's long term care homes offer private rooms (one bed), semi-private rooms (two beds) and ward accommodations to suit the needs and preferences of residents. Residents and families are encouraged to bring personal items and make their rooms feel like home.

The costs of long term care are shared by the resident and the government. Typically, residents pay for their accommodations, while the government covers the costs of things like care, certain medications, food and programming. Some provinces offer private pay options.

If applicable, rates for all types of long term care accommodations are established by the provincial government, depending on the resident’s income; rate subsidies may be available for ward accommodation.
