Celebrating Revera Residents’ Artistic Gifts this Holiday
During the holiday season and every day, all of us at Revera are very lucky to do what we do.
After all, we serve people who give us extraordinary gifts – gifts of wisdom, of humour, of perspective. Who teach us about who they are, what they need and want, and how we can best help. Who share their life experience, their hopes for the future, and their many, many talents.

“Seeing all of the artistry in these holiday images, it’s clear that talent and creativity have no age limit.”
When we asked residents of our long term care homes and retirement communities across the country to share their artistic gifts as part of a search to find our 2016 holiday card cover, they were generous once again. More than 130 beautiful, resident-crafted pieces of art were submitted. It was such a wealth of creativity, we couldn’t settle on just one; we narrowed it down to eight finalists, and our communities across the country can choose from any of these stunning cover options.
Thanks to everyone who shared their creativity, and congratulations to the eight artists that are featured on this year’s cards: Melanie Adamczewska and June Stewart, Burlington, ON; Lily Carter, Brandon, MB; Barbara D’Arcy, Toronto, ON; To Hua, Scarborough, ON; Ines Oppenhuizen, Calgary, AB; Doreen Richmond, Winnipeg, MB; and Marie Smith, Kitchener, ON. You can see their exceptional works of art below.
Our vision at Revera is to celebrate the ageless spirit of people through service and innovation. Seeing all of the artistry in these holiday images, it’s clear that talent and creativity have no age limit. Something to celebrate, indeed.
Happy holidays
